The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is maintained by The Forestry Commission with guidance from the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust. The Trust seeks to raise funds for both commissioning artists to create new works, which interpret the forest for the public, and to develop the educational potential of the trail. The Board is comprised of arts specialists, artists and Forestry Commission management staff.
The Trust sees the Forest of Dean, its trees, wildlife, industrial past and rich heritage, as a special environment that creates a unique opportunity for encountering the work of artists.
