The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust CIO is a registered charity that develops and manages artists’ projects and commissions on the Sculpture Trail, a Forestry England site. Our Board of Trustees are the custodians of the Sculpture Trail, unpaid volunteers who play an important role in supporting the vision and mission of the charity. Trustees are responsible for seeing that FODST meets both its charitable objectives and its legal requirements as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Details about our current Board of Trustees can be found here.
The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trust is committed to promoting inclusivity and equity in all aspects of our work. We strive to ensure our Board of Trustees reflects and values the diversity of the people who visit the trail, and the people we collaborate and partner with. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in becoming a trustee and feel your professional skills, local connections and/or life experience could help steer the charity into the future.
We particularly want to support people to join our board who might not feel joining a board is for them, who can bring valuable insights and new perspectives to the charity. You’ll find being a board member is a rewarding experience: working closely with the charity’s Chair and Forestry England, you will have the opportunity to make your own contribution to a pioneering and forward-looking arts organisation.
If you have an interest in arts and culture in the Forest of Dean and can give a little time, please get in touch for more information and/or an informal chat by emailing chair@forestofdean-sculpture.org.uk
